16 Orient Place is a classic Melrose home brought fully up to date, inside and out. New siding and exterior trim reset the home's presence on the street, with careful detailing at corners, returns, and penetrations.
Inside, the millwork does the talking: floor-to-ceiling built-ins in the dining room, paneled detail through the living spaces, and a stair hall rebuilt with a custom newel post and balustrade. The kitchen was rebuilt around a granite island with a dedicated range wall.
A custom deck extends the living space into the rear yard, completing the connection between the house and the property.
